Little Weavings Co offers a unique range of one-of-a-kind pillows and tapestries - all handwoven by Kristie Strasen. In a culture where we tend to discard things so quickly, these artisanal pieces honor the tradition of making things by hand - things that are worth keeping. Tapestries
Little Weavings Co offers a range of tapestries to suit interiors of all styles. Tapestries can have a particular significance and be woven to commemorate a place or event. Or, they can be whimsical and simply offer a spark of color and texture when installed in an interior. They can be grouped with other art in a gallery-like setting or they can hang on their own.
The piece at left - entitled “Dog River” represents a geographical location that holds significance for the owner of the work. This tapestry is part of an ongoing series representing American rivers in abstract form and was woven for an exhibition entitled “Art in Isolation” sponsored by the Cascadia Center for Arts & Crafts at Mt. Hood in Oregon.

Pillows
All the Little Weavings Co pillows are handwoven out of natural fibers - usually wool, alpaca and mohair. Only the best quality yarns are used, sometimes including handspun yarns. Yarns are mostly commercially dyed although naturally dyed yarns are included when they are available. Pillows can be bold in design and color as in the one at right entitled “Conifer Ikat Stripe” - or they can be textural and neutral. No matter what your personal style, a handwoven pillow can be created to suit your taste and interior decor.
Every pillow is impeccably finished with a cotton duck, zippered back and stuffed with a feather/down insert.

Kristie Strasen is an accomplished colorist, textile designer and the weaver behind Little Weavings Co. Under the name Textiles + Color, Strasen provides design and color services to leading names in the interior furnishings industry.
