About Little Weavings Co
Following a highly successful career in New York City as a textile designer and colorist for leading companies in the interiors furnishings industry, Kristie Strasen returned to her roots as a hand weaver and launched Little Weavings Co in 2017.
Committed to making “things worth keeping” Strasen creates artisanal, one-of-a-kind pieces with special significance.
Little Weavings Co offers a range of handwoven tapestries and pillows for interiors. Working exclusively with natural fibers, Strasen’s work utilizes the highest quality yarns - often hand spun or spun by small-batch spinners.
Known for her intuitive understanding of color, Strasen’s weaving is informed by years of experience creating systems of color for clients throughout North America and Europe. The yarns she uses are both commercially dyed and naturally dyed by small-lot, natural dyers.
Custom Orders
Little Weavings Co is happy to do custom orders for clients who have a specific request for a tapestry or pillows. The process is simple with a conversation to identify colors, size and general feeling of a piece before weaving begins.
