This double layered tapestry is woven out of dyed and undyed wool and has openings in the top layer that provide a peek at the under layer which is natural grey with intense saffron rectangles that correspond to the openings in the top layer. The top layer is embellished with silk embroidery, accentuating the openings and providing shadow rectangles that appear and disappear, dependng on the light. The piece is supported by a plexiglass rod and suspended by a dramatic cord.
